Svetlana is 46 years old. 3 years ago her legs were amputated and she has almost lost her eyesight. After the surgery she had started living at her daughter's house but it was too small so she decided to return into her own place. Her son, Igor, at the age of 11 became the one who took care of her. Their relatives, friends and local government help this family but the 14-year-old boy does the most part of the duties. 

Kristina Brazhnikova was born in 1988, Voronezh (Russia). She graduated from Voronezh State Technical University. She started her career as a commercial photographer in 2010. In 2012 one of regional newspapers offered her a position as a photojournalist. In 2013 she received a regional award for the best debut in journalism. In 2014 she finished the course “Documentary Photography” led by Mikhail Domozhilov (Fotodepartament Institute, Saint-Petersburg, Russia). She participated in “Russian Reporter” Summer School (Class of Andrei Polikanov and Tatiana Plotnikova) in 2014. Her story “Mother” participated in the group exhibition “Institute.Production” at Kazan, Russia.
