The Lithuanian Press Photographers Club is pleased to present the tenth Vilnius Photo Circle 2016 festival.
A Photographers’ Weekend will be held in Vilnius on February 24-25, 2017 during which time some lectures and tutorials will be delivered and prizes for the Festival will be awarded. The preliminary agenda for the Photographers’ Weekend will be announced at the beginning of 2017. Our main sponsor FUJIFILM has provided the first prize for ‘Circle of Life’ contest.
Laerke Posselt, a documentary photographer based in Copenhagen, working for The New York Times, Newsweek, Stern, Le Monde, among other media, will be the Festival’s Guest and Tutor and Judge for the Contest’s ‘Homework’. She will comment on the results of the ‘Homework’ contest and will present a lecture.
The creators of the best nine ‘Circle of Life’ contest stories will be exhibited during the Festival and published in the Photo Circle journal and are (in alphabetical order):
Stephanie Borcard Nicolas Metraux, Oscar B Castillo, Arash Khamooshi, Pierre Marsaut, Valery Melnikov, Giorgos Moutafis, Vladimir Pesnya, Maxim Sarychau, Ramil Sitdikov, Angelos Tzortzinis.
The creators of the best four stories of the ‘Homework’ contest (for young photographers), which will be exhibited during the Festival and published in the Photo Circle journal are (in alphabetical order):
Mary Gelman, Dina Oganova, Tatsiana Tkachova, Pavel Volkov.
